Craft is built for experienced practitioners who want to be accountable for the work they deliver, without getting pulled away from it.
Many of the best people in traditional consulting firms sit in the middle. They are trusted by clients, they lead delivery, and they carry the weight of outcomes. At the same time, they often face a ceiling on earning potential, while carrying the highest levels of pressure. Reporting, utilisation targets, internal politics, business development, managing conflict, contributing to marketing and other competing priorities can take over, and the client work ultimately suffers.
Craft offers a different way of working.
We operate with a simple model. We keep overheads low and direct the majority of the value back to the people doing the work. If you are delivering for the client, you should be the one financially benefiting from it.
The focus stays on the work, the client, and the outcome, and revenue doesn’t flow to layers of management that are removed from delivery.
We are continuing to build a strong pipeline of meaningful work, having already delivered for so many happy public and private sector clients. We also encourage practitioners to bring their own client relationships and opportunities into Craft, where engagements can be structured properly and delivered under a model that is fair, transparent, and commercially sound.
We equally work with clients who are looking to engage a specific individual. In those cases, we provide the structure, compliance, and support to ensure the work is set up properly and delivered to a high standard.
This is not a volume model, and it is not for everyone. Contracting can be demanding, and Craft is designed for senior practitioners who are comfortable with accountability, variability, and operating at a high standard. We are deliberate about who we bring in and the clients we work with, because the quality of the work and the reputation of the people delivering it matter.
If this sounds like the kind of environment you’ve been looking for, we’d be glad to hear from you and set up time to grab a cuppa.
